What we liked
- + Ten 0.35mm food-grade stainless steel needles, plus a spare set of ten supplied with the tool
- + Stand has a built-in brush that wipes grounds off the needles as you dock the tool
- + Needles can be removed, so you can run 5 to 9 needles in place of the full ten for a lighter rake
Trade-offs
- - Handheld tool, so evenness depends on your own stirring pattern, not on a guided ring
- - No depth stop: you judge how deep the needles go into the basket yourself
