What we liked
- + Nine 0.3mm needles break up clumps and spread the grounds as you rotate the tool on the basket
- + Needle depth adjusts across roughly 18 to 22mm, so it can be set for different basket depths and doses
- + The included holder has a bristle-lined base that sweeps grounds off the needles when the tool is put away
Trade-offs
- - This listing is the 54mm size for Breville-style baskets and will not fit a standard 58mm portafilter
- - Costs far more than a simple handheld needle tool, and nine needles is fewer than some rivals list
