The mug is where all your brewing effort lands, and the right one keeps coffee hotter and feels good in the hand. Wall thickness, material, and shape all affect heat retention and how the coffee hits your palate, so it is worth more thought than most people give it. For home, match capacity to your drink, a 6oz cappuccino cup feels wrong for a big pour-over, and consider double-walled ceramic or stoneware for longer heat. A comfortable handle matters daily. The mugs below cover espresso cups, everyday ceramics, and insulated options for your coffee bar.
