One number decides whether a blind shaker works for you, and it is the diameter of your portafilter basket. Shakers are sold at 51, 54, and 58mm to match the common basket sizes, and a cup that is even slightly too wide drops grounds around the rim on transfer while one too narrow leaves a ridge of coffee against the wall. Get that right and the rest is about how well the cup does its actual job, which is breaking up clumps from the grinder by shaking rather than by stirring with a needle tool. That makes the lid the second thing to examine: it has to seal well enough to shake hard without a puff of fines escaping, and a magnetic lid is far more convenient than a friction fit you have to prise off. The interior profile matters more than the finish, since a straight-walled cup with a rounded base releases the dose as one settled puck, and a cup with a sharp internal corner holds coffee back. Weight and grip are worth thinking about because you will shake this several times a day, and stainless steel takes a knock the way a plastic cup does not. Be realistic about limits: shaking distributes very well at normal espresso grind, but the finest turkish-adjacent settings still clump.
